Founder
The late Richard turned a dream into reality when he embarked on his journey as a man in a van back in 1982. Little did he know that his humble start-up would blossom into a multi-million-pound company – a testament to the adage “mighty oaks from little acorns grow.”
Today, Richard’s legacy stands tall, promising to provide reliable power to the nation for years to come.

After nearly 15 years of dedicated service across various areas of the business, gaining extensive hands-on experience in delivering generator solutions as a Project Manager, Curtis developed a deep understanding of both our customers’ needs and the company’s operations. Now, as CEO, he leads with drive and passion, dedicated to delivering the UK’s most trusted power solutions, with a strong focus on excellence and customer satisfaction.
Jody Meek
Chief Operating Officer
With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Jody is responsible for the management, leadership, and operational direction of Shenton Group. Insisting on integrity whilst having strong commercial experience, Jody ensures as a company we provide power solutions that we can depend on, whilst creating an environment that empowers our employees.
Darren Meek
Strategic Account Director/C-Suite
With over 25 years of experience, Darren has a comprehensive understanding of the industry and its demands. Driven and passionate about customer service and outcomes, with a solution mindset, Darren’s focus is onboarding strategic accounts and building partnerships at Board-level. He is a firm believer that, due to our unique capabilities and respected position in the critical power sector, it’s not “if” clients will partner with us, it’s “when”.
Derek Barry
Chief Technical Officer
Derek joined the company in its adolescence over 35 years ago. He has worked in most departments across the company, accumulating a broad spectrum of skills and experience. He now leads the technical department, providing high-level electrical and mechanical engineering solutions and support. As Chief Technical Officer, Derek brings innovation, quality, and consistency to the Shenton Group brand.
Tara Lawson
Chief People Officer
With 20+ years of HR background in both FTSE 100 companies and scaling businesses, Tara has a passion for developing commercial success through engaged employees and excellent people practices. Her experience with premium brands lends itself well to Shenton Group’s focus on quality, technical expertise, and customer experience.
Craig Lewendon
Chief Financial Officer
Craig is a qualified chartered accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in finance. His work across Education, Security, IT Services and BMS Systems gives him the expertise to enhance financial governance and control across the business.
Senior Leadership
The glue that holds the company together and takes responsibility for their department’s area of excellence. Our senior leadership team boasts many years of experience, with a number of the team having worked their way up through the ranks. Hard work and dedication to providing the best power security solutions for our clients are what get them excited.
Sales & Marketing
Our sales and marketing teams are your first point of contact and will ensure that your requirements are fully understood. They know that they have two ears and one mouth for a reason! Being on the front line of the business, this team offer customer care that is second to none whilst still having a technical background, and not just being a ‘salesperson’.

This team is what the company reputation is built on and is our secret weapon! These technical experts love what they do and are some of the best in the industry. All of our technical team members have come from ‘hands-on’ roles; they have been there and done it. Whether it be a detailed design, technical advice or producing BIM models, this team will be able to help you, whatever your requirements.
Project Management
Our project management team give you a single point of contact throughout your projects journey and ensures delivery is a success, on time and within budget. Having a technical background, working to clear systems and processes, and being available whenever you need them means, this team provides you with true peace of mind throughout the project.
